The only thing that rivals Tegan and Sara is Tegan and Sara live. They’re playing at the Orpheum Theater tomorrow night, closing out an enormous alternative/pop/rock weekend for Madison following Passion Pit, Matt & Kim, and Icona Pop performing at Orpheum tonight.

Tegan and Sara, identical twins from Canada, have been performing and recording together since 1995, and their latest album Heartthrob shows that the family duo isn’t slowing down any time soon. The sisters both sing, play guitar and keyboards and write their own songs. If that is not a powerhouse duo, then I don’t know what is.

In 2012 they toured with The Black Keys and The Killers; on Sunday, the twins have the stage to their themselves and, in our opinion, they’re going to kill it.
