Wisconsin summers are unique. Heat we can actually appreciate, looser schedules, and really cold beer. Add incredible live music in a barn and there’s no better place on earth. Jonk Music is excited to announce that it will be bringing all these things together on August 16 for the second annual Solskinn Music Festival.

Solskinn began last year as a part of Make Music Madison and is proud to establish a tradition of showing off talented local artists. The event will take place this year at the storied and heavily loved Shitty Barn in Spring Green, Wis., just a short drive from Madison. A variety of exceptional local and regional groups will join us this year, including Boom Forest (solo), Building on Buildings, Fargo, GGOOLLDD, Little Legend, Jeremiah Nelson, and Old Earth. They will combine for a day soundtracked by the highest quality folk, experimental rock, indie pop, and everything in between.

Summer nights were meant for picnicking with friends, and this need be no different. Grills will be available for free use outside the barn, guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs, and Spring Green’s fine Furthermore Beer will be sold. So grab some friends and some fee-free tickets; it’s time to get shitty.
