After opening for Coldplay early in their career, British pop trio The High Wire quickly gained fans and successfully put out two full-length albums. Now The High Wire is back again channeling shoegazers of the ’80s and ’90s with their newest album, Found in Honey.

With a pulsating undercurrent supported by violins, their newest single “LNOE” marches headstrong into the ears of the listener. Bemoaning the changes that inevitably occur in life, the lyrics proclaim, “We used to paint this town with a torn brush / Now I can’t even walk the streets because it’s changed so much.” As drums and acoustic guitar start to build around the string motif, the song continues its dejected lament, but not without a faint glimmer of hope.
