Multinational group HAERTS has been gradually growing in notoriety since their incredibly popular first single “Wings” was released in 2012. Originating from a teenage friendship between the two German members of the group, Ben Gebert and Nini Fabi, the quartet came together after meeting in New York City many years later. HAERTS is now preparing for a fall tour with St. Lucia in support of their self-titled debut album, due out October 28.

“Giving Up,” the newest single from their upcoming release, is a bombastic tribute to ’80s synth pop. The track’s atmospheric sound and larger-than-life echo gives it an arena pop feel, leading the listener to envision a giant stadium full of adoring fans. The beat shimmers under Fabi’s powerful pop vocals, and cymbal rolls accentuate the more climatic points of the song as it steadily increases in energy. Surely, we can expect nothing less than continued greatness from HAERTS in the next month.
