When Dawn Larsh and Armando Vega bonded over a shared gig in Larsh’s native Ontario, Canada, they had no idea how entwined their lives would become. Just three years later, the couple, now married, is nursing their own fledgling band called The Tallest Tree. Without a single tour under their belt, the band is working on their first EP, hoping for a fall release.

The Tallest Tree’s most recent single, “I’ll Be Your,” is a cutesy indie folk piece with a catchy melody. Larsh’s sugary-sweet vocals are instantly charming, and they are layered with pleasing harmonies. The track even leaves room for the most happiest of all novelty instruments, the kazoo, which is snuck in surreptitiously in the outro. Overall, the song is an enjoyable first release for this developing pair of musicians.
