The Staves is an all-girl group from England that harmonizes well enough to make the Beach Boys jealous. In a few weeks, the trio of sisters will release If I Was, an album they worked on with Justin Vernon at his Fall Creek-based April Base Studios.
“Steady,” the girls’ latest single, is another hearty slice of folk that leaves me excited for the rest of If I Was and forever thankful that this Stave wasn’t let anywhere near the studio.
