The blogosphere’s first great mystery act of 2015 has arrived in the form of vōx, a Los Angeles-based musician whose given name is Sarah Winters. Though we also know Winters has toured as a keyboardist with WHY?, and that she has an EP titled Put the Poison in Me coming out later this year, the facts about her remain pretty sparse.

But it only takes about five seconds of listening to her debut single, “Better,” to remind us that when it comes to music, facts don’t really matter. This is freaking art, an I’m-the-shit-and-I-know-it piece of pop music that’s going to lodge itself in a loop around my brain whether I want it to or not. A song can’t shoot for much more than that. And that’s a fact.

Wow, trippy, it feels like listening to something in reverse although it’s not. Also the wonky sounds and detunings make this really unique shroomy
