The start of “Into Your Heart” sounds like how falling for someone new feels. The pulsing of Joel Ford’s synths starts slowly—an average heartbeat—then begins elevating as a fuzzy warmth begins to float in. As soon as Leanne Macomber of Fight Bite and Neon Indian fame begins singing, you’ve already entered the honeymoon phase with Young Ejecta and the Brooklyn duo can do no wrong.

A playful and ascending song, “Into Your Heart” grows into its spacey final form. The back beat shakes the earth and builds into a blown out atmosphere, full of stars that sparkle with every synth pop and drums that rattle and burn up. It’s Macomber’s beautiful, dry and unaffected voice that keeps the song grounded as the adrenaline kicks in, a fact emphasized as the beat fades into a static haze and we’re left only with the sound of her voice laid bare.
