The Internet is a big place. Trim the fat and have a listen to some of our favorite songs that came out this week, from pop to hip hop and everything in between. Check back each Friday for a briefing on what you missed in music.

Computer Magic: “Be Fair”

Few things are as straightforward as Danz Johnson’s aptly named band. Synth hook after synth hook, “Be Fair” is pure computer magic.

Deerhunter: “Snakeskin”

The first single off of Deerhunter’s upcoming album Fading Frontier, you can feel the slither in “Snakeskin.” It’s a downright funky song with the eerie spaciness only Bradford Cox can provide.

FKA twigs: “M3LL155X”

We’ll count this EP as a song because of the music video that brings all of twigs’ completely badass songs into one 16-minute epic. Thoughts on power, beauty and the transgression of boundaries move through her work in one fluid, gorgeous piece.

DJDS: “You Don’t Have to Be Alone”

Go on an adventure with a beautiful white wolf-puppy! And dance the whole time because this song is a jam!

Tiny Hazard: “Thirsty Sponge”

“Thirsty Sponge” is a part of a compilation project put together by Wilder Maker’s Gabriel Birnbaum, where twelve musicians create a piece from a clip of Frank Stanford’s poem “The Battlefield Where The Moon Says I Love You.” Brooklyn-based band Tiny Hazard contributed this lovely, warm song.

Woozy: “Venom”

The lead single off of Woozy’s upcoming debut LP preaches community and demands respect in a music industry that’s often overly insular. It’s an excellent soundtrack for raging against the scene.

Saintseneca: “Sleeper Hold”

I love this song and so will you.
