When you title a song with the national symbol for cash, I am sold.

D.R.A.M. (of “Cha Cha” fame) is the MC behind this chilled-out track, and it honestly has a better sound than his aforementioned hit. A simple piano riff carries throughout, an integral part of “that shit that make a n***a get off his ass and get money,” as D.R.A.M. would say. The musical influence of Social Experiment’ers Donnie Trumpet and Nate Fox is evident, but it has yet to feel as catchy as more upbeat Surf tracks like “Slip Slide” and “Familiar.”

That being said, I think D.R.A.M. is headed in the right direction with his own iteration of the singing rap style that has been pioneered by the likes of Fetty Wap, Young Thug and Drake. The combination of varied cadence and melody brings an added complexity to rap verses and should be a main component in the evolution of the genre moving forward. But you, D.R.A.M. and I don’t need to worry about that. We should just focus on getting that $.
