Sherry and Her Butterfly Net
from the album Population

On their second full-length release the Most Serene Republic have done an excellent job capturing the serenity of their moniker. With seven members, there is plenty to hear in the many instrumental strata present on this album. Strong elements of jazz float wistfully alongside more folk and indie sounds, creating a beautiful and coherent work of art. With male and female vocals, songs like “Sherry and Her Butterfly Net” and “Career in Shaping Clay” really shine.
