“Don’t You Give Up on Me”
from the EP The Hello Sessions
2011

Milo Greene is an L.A. quintet that built its sound during sessions near the Santa Barbara mountains.

On the pair of tracks the band’s released thus far, it embraces the kind of wide-screen acoustic rock sound that we’ve heard in one form or another from local acts ranging from Lord Huron to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

“Don’t You Give Up on Me” is led by clean lead guitars and rough-hewn vocals; a gold-buttoned blazer over a chambray shirt. “1957” (Summer Jams ’11) skews more rustic, offering Southern-accented male-female harmonies and a chorus big enough for its own Stagecoach headlining slot.
