Reykjavík, Iceland is the home to Of Monsters and Men, an acoustic folk band you’ve got to hear. With dynamics similar to Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Of Monsters and Men also generates a multidimensional, rhythmic sound. This comparable sound then breaks away from the norm with a perfect vocal duet. And although only producing one album, My Head is an Animal, Of Monsters and Men has got us singing along in “Little Talks.”

“Little Talks” gives us a reason to be in high spirits. From the opening “hey” shouts, it carries a bouncy and upbeat rhythm the entire time. You’ll feel like “your mind is playing tricks on you my dear” as this song teleports you to a European pub and puts a mug of Guinness beer in your hand. Embrace the moment. Stomp your feet. Jump around. Get used to this one – as this new indie jam will be making its way to the top of the charts soon.

Of Monsters and Men is not limited to bubbly music. “King and Lionheart” takes on a purer, more beautiful sound – similar to Mumford & Sons – but I think it’s even better. Yes, it’s a bold statement, but I have no doubt you will believe me once you hear them.
