There’s something about “Springhouse” that feels both vastly huge and quietly personal at the same time.

It is the latest single from Los Angeles-based band Incan Abraham, and even though they are a relatively new band to the indie music scene, this song is promising. The four-piece has released just one album before this, an EP titled Ancient Vacation, but don’t confuse their greenness with naiveté. They are anything but amateur.

An energetic psychedelic synth line begins the track by grabbing the listener’s attention and keeping it for the subsequent four minutes. The simple and easy plucking of an electric guitar almost immediately joins the synth run, but both are overshadowed by the powerful, intense vocals of the highly talented lead singer. His voice is so soothing and strong at the same time that it doesn’t matter what he is singing. Then comes beautiful harmonies, heavy layers of sound, volatile guitar chords, and steady percussion.

It’s a grand sound that could serve as the backdrop to a dance party or the soundtrack to a lonely night spent under the starts. Either way, you’ll love it.

“Springhouse” is the title track on Incan Abraham’s upcoming EP, out November 27. If you happen to love the song, you can get a limited edition 10-inch white-colored vinyl, the first physical release from Incan Abraham. Only 500 will be made, though, so preorder soon.

Listen to “Springhouse” now, though, and revel in its calm vocals and commanding sound.
