Well I’ll be damned. MØ has done it again.

Feeling frustrated with love? Or just angsty in general? Or maybe you’re just ready for some full-on sound seduction in your previously bland musical landscape. Whatever it is, “Waste of Time” may just be the answer to all of your problems.

MØ’s still relatively nascent music career has so far shown us two things: her ability to power through catchy material, while also remaining unapologetically vulnerable. Maybe it’s the alt-pop beats that are pretty much able to move through you, or perhaps it’s the fresh and sultry tone of her vocals. But somehow the Danish artist manages to make desperation sound, dare I say it, kind of sexy? Not many women in the music industry could get away with the high-pitched refrain “Say what you mean / what the fuck?” without even a hint of whine. But she does it.

I’m sitting here and all I can think is, “You know what MØ? You’re absolutely right. What the fuck?” If inner-dialogue isn’t indicative of a song’s reach power, I just don’t know what is.
