One of the more promising debut singles I’ve heard in a while, “Tired of Talking” by Swedish newcomer LÉON is a musical telling-off that is sure to get stuck in your head and stay there. While undoubtedly a pop number, LÉON’s gravelly yet clean alto brings in a measure of soul, setting her vocals apart from many of her musical peers and adding another later of depth to the track.

“Do you sometimes let your hand slip away
Something just feels different about you babe
Don’t wanna hear about your crazy drunk night out
I don’t believe that you just passed out on the couch”

Rather the opening of the song being angry, it actually comes across as more matter-of-fact — refreshingly so. You get the impression that LÉON is a badass SIW (Strong Independent Woman) who doesn’t take crap no matter how much she likes the person doling it out.
