There is just so much goodness to soak up in “U Da Best.” Brought to you by the nascent Brooklyn trio Wet, their first single is three minutes of effortless indie pop where lead singer Kelly Zutrau slices through you with a voice clearer than glass.

The vocals are so clean, so precise, that at first I was briefly under the impression that the song is a capella — and I wasn’t entirely wrong. The group uses Zutrau’s unaccompanied voice in the refrain to repeatedly grab the listener’s attention as they gradually build upon beats that are simply expansive in their brilliance. This is by far one of the best singles I have yet to hear this summer. Unassuming yet complex, original yet familiar, if you have ears I demand this be added to your summer soundtrack.
