Amy Winehouse vocals meet invigorated and cathartic dance music. This is the first thing that comes to mind when you first hear We Are Twin’s recent single, “The Way We Touch.” This is pure, back to basics, energized pop that I dare you to try and be pessimistic about. I’m pretty sure this would be impossible based on lyrical content alone — the song is full of the rich imagery and the feeling that comes from meeting someone who you are really, really excited about: “I only have my Chevy / and the keys to my heart / oh, take me for a ride to the moon / I forget the world when I’m with you.”

It;s about the excitement of making plans with someone new, the thrill of learning how to touch them, the sudden feeling of infinity because of the person standing in from of you. It stops you in your tracks before forcing you too keep moving, afraid that this amazing feeling is going to stop. (Though there will definitely be no stopping in your tracks once you hear this song; it is virtually impossible not to move to.)

So get dancing.
